Could you tell us about the creative process behind the song?
“It Takes Two” is a cover of the Marvin Gaye/Kim Weston duet done in 1966. The production and musical ideas for the sound and feel of the song came from my producer and sweetheart, Danny Voss. Jr.
What inspired you to create this particular track?
The original track is so upbeat and fun and I think our track accomplished
that and more!
You’ve undoubtedly developed a unique sound and style to fit into your musical journey, how does it showcase your growth and artistic evolution?
“It Takes Two” is a throwback from the Motown Days which is what I grew up with, and Marvin Robinson is such a great and soulful singer; it was fun and nostalgic.
Can you share the underlying message or theme that you wanted to convey through this song?
The theme is love and how you can accomplish so much more with someone who stands by your side.
How do you envision this song resonating with your audience, and what impact do you hope it will have on listeners as this has the potential to become a fan favorite?
I want the audience to smile and remember the fun times and dance around the room!

I have some fantastic and exciting ideas for my future! You’ll just have to wait and

How do you navigate the challenges and opportunities that come with being an artist in today’s competitive landscape?
I don’t compete. I encourage and support other artists. The music business is a bit of an enigma for me today, so I just do music and share it.
Are there any other musical genres or styles that you are interested in exploring in your future releases?
There is…I’m a Barbra Streisand, Laura Nyro, and Whitney Houston aficionado, and I would like to sing more songs from their genres…and, I love singing jazz!
